Any good art or design schools in England or the Netherlands? |
For various reasons, including just wanting to experience life in some other part of the world, I’ve been having a burning desire to move to Europe. I’ve narrowed down on England or The Netherlands as possible locations.
So I’m wondering what would be a good art or design school from these places? Particularly any that work with digital media or art direction, and any that are ideal for foreign students.
If it helps any, I’m currently a junior digital media student at UCF in Orlando, Florida, USA. My career goal is to design for film, television, videogames and the like.

Design/Education Lecture 1/14 |
This is part 1 of 14 of a lecture on the relationship between Education and Design in and beyond the Hong Kong context. I delivered it in July 2008 to about 150 Hong Kong Secondary School arts teachers in support of their bid to accommodate designing in the local secondary schools’ arts curriculum. The lecture was the kick-off for a two-day workshop organised by the Hong Kong Government’s Education Bureau. The organiser has asked me to pay particular attention to the notions of art and design appreciation and to critical thinking. I recommend using headphones while watching as the audio is not great. Total playback time is just over 2 hours.

Art schools online for graphic design? |
I’m thinking of taking an online course for graphic design and graphic arts. What art schools can you recommend that offer online courses on graphic arts/design? I would prefer the school to have a solid background and reputation. Thabks!
Anywhere in the US or in London
I attended the Art Institute Online and have an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design from the school. It also offers courses in Interactive Media Design and Game Art and Design. The school has placed 91% of BA Graphic Design grads and 95% of AS Graphic Design grads.

How does Moore College of Art and Design compare to other art schools in the United States? |
As far as art schools are concerned, where would you say Moore College of Art and Design ranks as far as their Fine Arts department? Also, how does the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston compare?
Actually, I’ve officially earned 3 different merit- based scholarships from Moore (1 for $8,000; 1 for $36,000; and 1 for $64,000) and almost everyone I know here is on some kind of merit-based scholarship from the school.
The atmosphere here is pretty unbeatable if you like knowing everyone and having a lot of diversity, I was just wondering how its fine art program compares with other schools’.
I know this really defeats the purpose to this website, but i have the exact question.
I’m a senior who is interested in both schools, but leaning more towards SMFA. Afterall, its associated with Tufts, and you are allowed to earn a combined degree. They also award merit based scholarships, something im not certain Moore College offers. Not to mention SMFA is co-ed, which in my opinion is better for gathering different perspectives when making any form of art.
