Design/Education Lecture 1/14 |
This is part 1 of 14 of a lecture on the relationship between Education and Design in and beyond the Hong Kong context. I delivered it in July 2008 to about 150 Hong Kong Secondary School arts teachers in support of their bid to accommodate designing in the local secondary schools’ arts curriculum. The lecture was the kick-off for a two-day workshop organised by the Hong Kong Government’s Education Bureau. The organiser has asked me to pay particular attention to the notions of art and design appreciation and to critical thinking. I recommend using headphones while watching as the audio is not great. Total playback time is just over 2 hours.
