that’s a really … that’s a really stupid question. do you want to get into? illustration? graphic design? look into it. don’t rely on others. Ringling is supposedly one of THE best, but for the most part, it all depends on how much you take out of it and practice. the school doesnt make the artist, the person does.
I think you’ll see … I think you’ll see that most people appreciates art that demonstrate craftsmanship and skill instead of just shock value like duchamp’s fountain.
For example, people admire the craftmanship of a 18th century drawing or a painting by da vinci because they know it’s difficulty to produce something as lifelike and real.
you’r taking it out … you’r taking it out of the context, it was a portrait of the bourgeois, totally dada, or punk if you want, its like saying you, to the hypocrisy of the rich society who were dictating what is art and morality and what isn’t, while making war in the same time.
Yea like warhol and … Yea like warhol and thoes soup cans. I mean if i could stack a bunch of crazy and sell it I would but it seems he was the first to do that so it took off now its worn out
lmao, art schools? … lmao, art schools? yea life is this way, everybody is a zombie now following not even a leader but bullsh** they believe is right or is easy. I feel like this guy everyday, thats why i love this movie cuz ppl are so fu**ing dum these days, common sense is completely a thing of the past, its lost. I agree with everything you said
Just about anything … Just about anything can be art. However, what is “good” art is dependent upon a subjective opinion. Hell, Duchamp’s “Fountain,” the guy took a urinal and displayed it. Would I see a urinal as a piece of art? Probably not. But, apparently someone did.
every art schools … every art schools are like that all around the world, and not only art schools, but the market, some artists, all ths microsociety. its just the way it goes, any social environment is a bit fake.
but some true artist are still fightin within or wthout the market.
If art can be … If art can be everything, then what is my work doing sitting in my basement, while another person’s work sells for millions.
Clearly people make a distinction, and discriminate about what is art and what is not.
So sad, but so true … So sad, but so true. The poor loser in the beginning drawing a portrait of that girl- and probably thinking he’s scoring points for being the sensitive, artistic type- when her boyfriend picks her up (probably for a nice fuck) while he sits there wondering what happened.
Quote from the ASC … Quote from the ASC comic:
“If you must go to art school for God’s sake make the most of it … Seldom if ever again in life will you be afforded the chance to scrutinize such an array of losers in an environment that actually encourages their most pretentious inclinations!”
what i meant was … what i meant was that art is not only the pictures on the wall made by famous artists, it can also be the drawings of a kindergarten girl.

No such thing as ” …
No such thing as “true” or “real” anymore
Every once in a while you may find an artist who truly believes in what they produce, but there’s no guarantee they’ll be any good.
Most of them are knowledge without meaningful application or random application without knowledge.

Sorry I disagree that art can be everything. If art can be everything, then art has no meaning at all.

art is in the eyes …
art is in the eyes of the viewer… art can be absolutely EVERYTHING, so i think you’re wrong.
